City of Anna public library
The city of Anna wanted a butterfly installation for their brand new library. The butterflies were colored blue dominant to pick up the cities, official color.
175 butterflies were installed over the stairwell to add a sense of wonder and excitement for everyone who gets to use this beautiful amazing library. The entire library is filled with art and creative activity spaces. If you're ever in the city of Anna, it's a must see.
The butterflies were made of porcelain and modeled on four species that are native to North Texas and the Anna area.

NCECA 2013 Houston - Collaborative Project
A Walk in the Park
Although this project was collaborative, I convey ideas of relationships and connectedness. Moments shared with family and the role memory plays when we reflect on simple events that at the time experienced seem inconsequential and fleeting. This work, a metaphor for time spent with my father, his nurturing guidance and stability.
As part of the documentation process for NCECA’s Project Space Elizabeth Head-Fischer and I were interviewed about our interactive installation called A Walk in the Park. Here is a link to the video interview documenting our work.
